Subguilds

Subguilds in Apocalypse are meant to complement a character’s main guild selection, adding a few more skills to be roleplayed out.


Aggressor

Trained in the martial arts, Aggressors are skilled in the use of slashing weapons and other blades. They are often brutal and unforgiving, employing such tactics as kicking their opponent and running them over with a bash. The further skilled they become, they can learn to disarm their enemy, leaving them open, and can be trained to fight in complete darkness.

Bruiser

Trained in the martial arts, Bruisers are skilled in the use of clubs and other bludgeoning weapons. They are often brutal and unforgiving, employing such tactics as kicking their opponent and running them over with a bash. The further skilled they become, they can learn to disarm their enemy, leaving them open, and can be trained to fight in complete darkness.

Lancer

Trained in the martial arts, Lancers are skilled in the use of spears and other piercing weapons. They are often brutal and unforgiving, employing such tactics as kicking their opponent and running them over with a bash. The further skilled they become, they can learn to disarm their enemy, leaving them open, and can be trained to fight in complete darkness.

berserker

Trained in the martial arts, Berserkers are skilled in the use of axes and other chopping weapons. They are often brutal and unforgiving, employing such tactics as kicking their opponent and running them over with a bash. The further skilled they become, they can learn to disarm their enemy, leaving them open, and can be trained to fight in complete darkness.

protector

The martial skills of the Protector allow them to function in several roles, either as guards, mercs, or soldiers in the militia. They are sought after for their ability to protect others from harm and can become experts in the use of a shield. The further they train, they can learn to pull their charges out of harms way, or even get themselves out of a fight, and can become a useful battlefield medic using bandages.

outdoorsman

Adept at surviving the harsh conditions beyond the cities, Outdoorsman are excellent hunters, learning the skill of hiding themselves from potential prey, and following their tracks. The higher skilled can even detect things that are hidden from view. They are highly skilled in the use of a bow, above almost all others. They can skin what they kill and are not easily lost in the sand storms that blow across the rugged terrain.

grebber

Grebbers possess the knack for finding materials out in the wild. They also possess the ability to guide their mount, and a sense of direction, even through storms. They can even learn to track small prey, and the more gifted among them can climb into high places where others can’t go.

slipknife

Slipknives are the shadow moving just beyond your vision, lurking and navigating city streets unseen and unheard. They have been known to inflict a killing blow with a blade to the back, and are adept at tossing blades at their unsuspecting enemies. They are also known, and feared, for their ability to pass on poison to the unsuspecting, their knowledge of such rivaled by few others

cutpurse

The Cutpurse is a thief, drawing much ire and disdain from their unsuspecting victims who suddenly find themselves lighter than before. Able to move quietly and often unseen, the Cutpurse can sneak up on their target, find their valuables, and relieve them of such, slipping back out just as quietly. The more skilled among them are adept at sleight of hand, a tactic they can often use to several ends. As they progress, they can even protect themselves, becoming vigilant against other thieves who may see -them- as a target.

apothecary

The Apothecary is the doctor of the world, able to stop the bleeding wound with bandages, stitches, and medicine. They possess the ability to make such things, and can even gather their own materials to do so. Those with the time and want can even make things like soap and candles on the side.

majordomo

The Majordomo often find themselves in the employ of the rich and powerful, able to spy on others with an innate ability to listen without notice. They are also known as excellent pilots, able to maneuver the lumbering wagons of the rich across the rugged terrain. They are also able to whip up a meal if need be, and they also possess a knack for sleight of hand.

weaponsmith

As the name implies, Weaponsmiths are skilled at making various weapons, from swords and spears, to knives, arrows, and others. They are often employed by merchants or seek work on their own, with their knowledge of the weapons needed for survival and war always in demand.

Linguist

Linguists are skilled at the art of speaking, often learning different languages and accents, either from their own kind, or even others. Able to speak to humans, elves, and dwarves, they are often sought after by merchants to negotiate trades, or by the rich and powerful to spy in the taverns of the cities.

armorsmith

As the name implies, Armorsmiths are skilled at making and repairing all types of armor, no matter the material they are made from. They are always in demand, from the soldiers of Keredet to the mercenaries roaming the world, the need for good armor and those that can fix them always remain in high demand.

tailor

Tailors are often employed by merchant houses, having the ability to alter clothing and armor to fit the wearer, or making unique clothing of their own. With the rich and powerful always looking for the next style, Tailors are often in demand and can find employment with merchants or independent groups.

jeweler

Jewelers make all sorts of wearable accessories, and work with many materials, from shell and bone to gemstones and feathers, and can also upkeep the tools they use to make these things. They can also be their own merchants, knowing the value of the things they make, and able to study jewelry created by others, able to discern how to make such.

general crafter

General Crafters have the ability to alter the work of others, able to change the color with the careful application of dyes. They also work with such things as twine and vines, able to create goods such as baskets and rope. They possess the knowledge of the value of materials, and can sometimes figure out how to alter the prices of skins.

chef

The Chef is exactly what you expect them to be: masters of the grill and cooking spit. Able to cook food to near perfection and fetch a decent price for such, they can also create their own recipes and are often sought after by the rich and the merchants of the world. They are also butchers, able to cut up the very animals they turn into their masterpieces, and can even study and learn from the unique recipes of others.

outrider

Outriders find themselves most comfortable on mounts, riding the rough terrain of the world rather than being locked behind the walls of a city. They are able to hunt prey, and often fight from atop their mounts. They possess the ability to find their way through sand storms, and when coming across their prey can trample them under their mounts, or use such to completely knock their opponent completely off their feet.

Defensive Psionics

Those born with a connection to psionics are often molded by their surroundings. Some find that they are able to use the Unseen Way to defend themselves against threats, blocking the use of the Way with others, vanishing from their sight, or causing a state of confusion that allows them to slip away. Few people who are not true Psionicists can distinguish between what is known as a ‘Mindworm’ or those born with lesser talents, leading anyone with psionic abilities to be careful and guarded with how they use them.

subterfuge psionics

Those born with a connection to psionics are often molded by their surroundings. Some find that they are able to use the Unseen Way to absorb the thoughts and feelings of those around them, to conceal their own mind from being found, and to find others that wish to be unseen from prying eyes. Few people who are not true Psionicists can distinguish between what is known as a ‘Mindworm’ or those born with lesser talents, leading anyone with psionic abilities to be careful and guarded with how they use them.

utility psionics

Those born with a connection to psionics are often molded by their surroundings. Some find that they are able to use the Unseen Way to alter the flow of their body and repair it from damage and exertion, speak or at least understand any known language, and vanish from sight when needed. Few people who are not true Psionicists can distinguish between what is known as a ‘Mindworm’ or those born with lesser talents, leading anyone with psionic abilities to be careful and guarded with how they use them.

offensive psionics

Those born with a connection to psionics are often molded by their surroundings. Some find that they are able to use the Unseen Way to lash out at their enemies, bending their mind to their will, confusing them into doing their bidding, or even wiping their thoughts and memories from existence. Few people who are not true Psionicists can distinguish between what is known as a ‘Mindworm’ or those born with lesser talents, leading anyone with psionic abilities to be careful and guarded with how they use them. Of those born with psionic talents, those who use them offensively are often actively hunted.
